COST Action "KEYSOM" - 1ª Training School - "The role of Soil Fauna on Soil Organic Matter Dynamics" | Coimbra, Portugal 4-7 October 2016

The CFE will organize the first Training School of the COST Action KEYSON under the theme "The role of Soil Fauna on Soil Organic Matter Dynamics", between the 4th to 7th October.

Several renowned speakers will be present and the closing ceremony will be in charge of Prof. Diana Wall, Science Chair da "Global Soil Biodiversity Initiative" and one of the advisers for environmental issues of the US Presidency.

Framed within the objectives of the COST ACTION KEYSOM (Soil fauna - Key to Soil Organic Matter Dynamics and Modelling - see this first Training School aims at providing updated concepts and methodologies on the study of soil organic matter dynamics and on the overlooked key role that soil fauna plays in the associated processes. Getting together soil ecologists, biogeochemists and modellers, this is a multidisciplinary course comprehending both lectures and practical classes.

Targeted mainly at PhD students and young post-doctoral fellows, this summer school also aims to stimulate collaborative research among participants via a close dialogue between them and with the guest lecturers.
