What are the main challenges facing national and international Biosphere Reserves today? This will be one of the themes reflected on in the project's final seminar, "Biosphere Reserves: Sustainable Territories, Resilient Communities," which will take place in the auditorium of the Knowledge Pavilion (Ciência Viva) in Lisbon on September 28th.

Throughout the day, the results of the project's main activities will be discussed, as well as the challenges to networking and international cooperation. The 1st Prize for Good Practices in Sustainable Tourism in Portugal's Biosphere Reserves will be awarded.

The Portuguese Biosphere Reserves project is operated by the General Secretariat for the Environment, is financed by EEA Grants and promoted by the consultancy Quaternaire Portugal, with the mission of enhancing the country's 12 Biosphere Reserves.
