The call for proposals for the 4th edition of the National Citizen Science Meeting is officially open.
Until September 6th, you can submit the work you intend to take to Coimbra to ENCC2023, which will take place from November 27th to 28th.
The congress theme is “Involve.” Citizens, scientists, companies, municipalities - everyone who is interested in the topic and wants to debate it is invited to get involved.
Citizen science is part of the broad process of involving non-scientists in new forms of interaction with scientific research, challenging scientists and non-scientists to establish productive dialogues while expanding scientific knowledge and predicting benefits and opportunities for a learning experience for all parties involved.
These interactions demand innovative strategies to deepen inclusion and the degree of complexity of participation, stimulating co-creation, interactions, and intersections. At this meeting, we intend to reflect on how to better ENGAGE people interested in citizen science, discuss ways of effective participation of the great diversity of stakeholders, and encourage the co-creation of knowledge in more collaborative, contributory, and dialogue-based processes.
ENCC2023 maintains the premise of promoting the dissemination of results and good practices of ongoing projects, monitoring the development of initiatives to begin, and encouraging reflection on the practices, challenges and futures of city science. The meeting aims to INVOLVE communities, people, institutions, companies, and scientists who promote or participate in projects and initiatives that they consider relevant to share in this context, as well as all people interested in knowing more about this topic.
