The B-Team emerged in 2017 with an INTERREG-SUDOE project, being responsible for assessing the influence of flower resource availability at the landscape level on honeybee colony health in a Mediterranean agricultural landscape. B-Team research aims at the protection of insect pollinators through the study of the ecology and ecotoxicology of honeybees as a model organism, targeting to sustainable and resilient beekeeping. In addition to honeybees, B-Team also focuses its research on assessing the effects of plant protection products on other bee species, and on developing sustainable ways to control the invasive Velutina wasp.
