The BeWild is a research laboratory dedicated to advancing the fields of Behavioural Ecology and Wildlife Conservation. Our team conducts pioneering scientific research on various aspects of mammal ecology and behaviour, sexual behaviour, wildlife monitoring and conservation, human-wildlife interactions, biodiversity assessment, and ecosystem services.
We focus on multiple species across various taxa, ensuring a comprehensive approach to wildlife research. Our work extends across multiple study areas, including Biosphere Reserves, Natura 2000 sites, and other protected areas in Portugal and worldwide. Group members are actively involved in diverse research projects within these areas, contributing to the understanding and conservation of wildlife and natural habitats on a global scale.
