Catarina Constantino Siopa

Experiência

Catarina Siopa is a researcher working in crop pollination, pollination ecology, and insect conservation. She is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in the RestPoll project at the Chair of Nature Conservation and Landscape Ecology at the University of Freiburg, Germany. She completed her PhD in Biosciences at the University of Coimbra in 2024, after previously obtaining a Master’s degree in Ecology and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the same university.

Her research focuses on understanding pollination processes in agricultural systems and the impacts of human management and landscape changes on pollination services and crop production. Her work combines ecological field studies, global data synthesis, and applied approaches to better understand pollination deficits in crops and support sustainable agricultural practices.
