Experiência
I am an Assistant Researcher at the University of Coimbra, affiliated with the Centre for Functional Ecology (CFE), working in the fields of Marine Biology and Ecology. I hold a PhD in Marine Ecology from the University of Coimbra in 2013, following degrees in Marine Biology and Fisheries (BSc) and Nature Conservation (MSc) from the University of Algarve.
My research focuses on understanding how marine species at upper and mid-trophic levels respond to environmental stressors, including pollution, climate change, fisheries, and fluctuations in resource availability. I have participated in 12 research projects, serving as Principal Investigator of a project on contamination pathways in marine wildlife. I currently contribute to the MARCENTRO+ project, which promotes the protection and sustainable management of marine ecosystems along the central Portuguese coast.
Since 2010, I have authored more than 80 scientific publications, largely in high-impact Q1 journals, including Science, Nature Communications, Conservation Letters, and Global Change Biology.
