Experiência

I am a postdoctoral researcher at CFE, University of Coimbra. I hold a PhD in Biosciences from the University of Coimbra (co-supervised by the Institute of Marine Sciences of Barcelona and the Polytechnic University of Leiria), with prior training in Biology and Ecology (BSc and MSc, University of Coimbra).

My expertise focuses on marine ecotoxicology and ecology, particularly on how chemical contamination affects seabirds, using integrative, interdisciplinary approaches that include relationships with foraging ecology, distribution and behaviour, and physiology. Throughout my academic career, I have collaborated with various institutions, conducted fieldwork across Atlantic and Mediterranean environments, and gained laboratory experience, including trace element, mercury, stable isotope, fatty acid profile, biologging, and biomarker analyses.

Currently, I am working in the MARCENTRO+ project, which focuses on the protection and sustainability of marine ecosystems in the central Portuguese coast.
