Paula Lorenzo is an external collaborator at CFE. She has completed her PhD in Biology-Ecophysiology with honours and European mention at University of Vigo (Spain). She is interested in exotic plant invasion and impacts on native communities. Specifically, her research focuses on understanding how plants invade new areas by releasing exotic allelochemicals (Allelopathy). Currently, she is searching for potential uses for natural allelopathic compounds and underused organic agroforestry waste in agronomy to reduce the use of synthetic agrochemicals (herbicides, inorganic fertilization). She is particularly committed to sustainable and resilient agriculture, agroforestry waste valorization and circular economy.
