Ying Ma

Experiência

Ying Ma is a researcher at the Centre for Functional Ecology, University of Coimbra. She holds a PhD in Biology and has long been engaged in research on microbial biotechnology, plant–microbe–soil interactions, and environmental bioremediation. She serves as a member of EU funding review panels and as an evaluator for the European Quality Assurance and Projects (EQA) system. She holds several authorized national patents and has published extensively in SCI-indexed journals (h-index = 45) and English books. She has been consecutively listed (2021–2025) in both the “Lifetime Scientific Impact” and “Annual Scientific Impact” categories of the World’s Top 2% Scientists and has received multiple international and national awards, including EU Young Scientist Awards.
