The International Symposium on Arbutus unedo (Strawberry Tree) and Related Species: from Biology to Biotechnology, will be held on 28-30 October 2024 in Coimbra, Portugal. This symposium is organized by the University of Coimbra under the aegis of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS).

The Arbutus unedo and related species in the Ericaceae family are of significant importance due to their unique biology and biotechnology applications. These species play an essential role in the ecosystem and have been widely used for medicinal, ornamental, and edible purposes.

This symposium will provide a platform for scientists to come together and exchange ideas and knowledge on the latest research in the field of Arbutus unedo and related species. The event will feature keynote speakers, oral and poster presentations, and networking opportunities to foster collaborations and advance our understanding in this field.
