The CFE, through its members, provides a set of services related to the research carried out in this R&D unit, particularly in environmental impact assessment and monitoring, plant health, climate change and aquaculture. With a solid connection to the business world, especially about the genesis of companies (spin-offs and startups) with a phyto-biotechnology nature, the CFE is at the forefront of internationally recognised scientific production.

Still, in this context, the CFE frequently collaborates with various National and European agencies, including regarding the implementation of EU standards and/or legislation and support for decision-making.
