Tenth anniversary of the Laboratory of Forensic Anthropology
The Laboratory of Forensic Anthropology (LAF) celebrates its tenth anniversary today, October 11th!
LFA holds the 21st Century Identified Skeletal Collection (CEI/XXI) with 302 individuals, all adults and with advanced age-at-death. We have also been developing a collection of human partially burned remains comprising 56 individuals. Besides, there is also a collection of 73 non-Identified Individuals.
At the LFA, we test and develop methods related to the taphonomy, post-mortem interval, biological profile, identification factors, bone pathology, trauma analysis, and research in burned human skeletal remains.
Many congratulations to all the researchers who, during this decade, have dedicated themselves and contributed to scientific advances in these areas. Next week, on social media (Facebook and Instagram) some of the team's most memorable moments over the last few years will be highlighted. Be careful!
