Exhibition of paintings by artist Helena Dias.

Since time immemorial, ancient people have recognized plants as a source of food and healing and a vital and spiritual principle. They called them "those who take care of us", a show of respect for their silent generosity. Inspired by this primordial vision of nature, artist Helena Dias presents in this exhibition a set of drawings that call for reflection on our relationship with the natural world and the way we represent it.

This series, developed over the last two years, is born from the appropriation and transformation of images of plant elements, which become the material of a unique artistic universe. Plants, in their infinite variety of forms, are reinterpreted in a process that oscillates between scientific precision and expressive freedom. Arranged with almost taxonomic rigor, as in a herbarium, the drawings are organized into delicate compositions that reveal both a documentary intention and a poetic nature. These are detailed studies and, at the same time, visceral evocations of the bond between humanity and the environment that sustains it.
